FOIA Requests
This page is dedicated to providing an overview of active/ongoing UAP-related FOIA requests, and will be updated as and when any information is actually received. I thought it would be helpful to have a public repository of requests, so that A) people don't accidentally file for something that's already out there, and B) so I can crowdsource some ideas for new requests.
Records Received
IC IG report & comments re: David Grusch submitted to DNI and various intel committees – submitted 29/09/23
In May 2022, David Grusch filed a PPD-19 whistleblower complaint with the IC IG. The filing was labeled a "Disclosure of Urgent Concern; Complaint of Reprisal".
The IC IG (Thomas Monheim) deemed this complaint "credible and urgent", and passed it along to the DNI (Avril Haines) as well as the HPSCI and SSCI intel committees.
According to the DNI website:
"B. Not later than the end of the 14-calendar day period beginning on the date of receipt from an employee of a complaint or information under subparagraph (A), the IC IG shall determine whether the complaint or information appears credible. If the IC IG determines that the complaint or information appears credible, then the IC IG shall, before the end of such period, transmit the complaint or information to the Director of National Intelligence. The IC IG may also forward comments on the complaint or information to the DNI.
C. Upon receipt of a transmittal from the IC IG under subparagraph (B), the DNI shall, within 7 calendar days of such receipt, forward such transmittal to the congressional intelligence committees, together with any comments the DNI considers appropriate."
I have submitted a FOIA request for any and all documentation sent along by the IC IG to the DNI/HPSCI/SSCI, as well as any and all documentation sent along by the DNI to the various intel committees.
It has been alleged that Grusch testified to the HPSCI/SSCI somewhere in December 2022, so I have bounded my request for relevant communications between May-December 2022.

Essentially, they can neither confirm nor deny the existence of any records and the request was denied pursuant to FOIA exemption b(3).

Communications between the Office of the Secretary of Defense and the Blackvault – submitted 02/10/23
I would like to receive any and all communications between any official employees/representatives of the Department of Defense (more specifically the Office of the Secretary of Defense) and John Greenewald, Jr.
John is the creator/publisher behind the Black Vault, a website that publishes a lot of FOIA requested (and other) government documents.
Recently, he published this article – https://www.theblackvault.com/documentarchive/emergency-clearance-sought-by-dod-for-ufo-reporting-on-aaro-website/ – which details a packet of information sent by Deputy SecDef Kathleen Hicks to the OMB.
What is notable about this article is the fact that it was published 1 day after Hicks sent her correspondence to the OMB. I am not familiar with any FOIA requests that get completed within 24 hours, which may indicate this packet of information was provided and/or leaked directly from the Office of the Secretary/DoD.
I would like to bound my request to any and all communications between John (or any representative of the Black Vault) and the DoD's Office of the Secretary between January 01, 2017 – October 02, 2023.
Note – John has since provided a source for the article (although the article itself still omits it), but for transparency's sake I decided to leave this FOIA request here. Thought it would be shady to hide it.

Pending: UAS incidents at National Nuclear Security Administration facilities – submitted 01/10/23
I'm looking to receive all records including internal emails, emails with other agencies, incident reports, pictures, or other collected data pertaining to any UAS [Unmanned Aircraft Systems] related incidents that occurred at any NNSA locations – as specified here: https://www.energy.gov/nnsa/locations
In particular, I'd like to bound the search for any such records that were created from Jan 1, 2000 up til the present day.
(Note – I used the "UAS" phrasing as there are many existing FOIA requests related to "UAP/UFO/drone" sightings, but I've noticed (e.g.) the FAA commonly uses "UAS" in its incident reports.)
Pending: Stephanie O'Sullivan communications related to UAP – submitted 05/10/23
I'd like to submit a request for any and all records created from Jan 1 1995 up until the present day, related to Stephanie O'Sullivan's communications regarding (and/or containing references to) Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP), UAP crash retrieval programs, and UAP reverse engineering programs.
The term "unidentified anomalous phenomena'' also encompasses what may previously have been described as: (i) flying discs; ii) flying saucers; (iii) unidentified aerial phenomena; (iv) unidentified flying objects (UFOs); and (v) unidentified submerged objects (USOs)
Pending: CIA Directorate of Science and Technology records related to UAP – submitted 05/10/23
I'd like to submit a request for any and all records created from Jan 1 2000 up until the present day, related to the CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology study/knowledge/communications regarding Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP).

Pending: Information related to AARO's "Senior Technical Advisory Group" – submitted 19/11/23
On April 19, 2023 – Dr. Kirkpatrick referred to a "Senior Technical Advisory Group" that provides peer review on case recommendations, during his testimony to the HASC.
On November 15, 2023 at the Hayden Center – Dr. Kirkpatrick reaffirmed the existence of this group (here he referred to it as the "strategic" technical advisory group...although it's unclear if that was an attempt at humor).
I would like to request all responsive records related to the number, purpose, membership, activities, and cost of this senior/strategic advisory group.
Based on the stipulations in the Federal Advisory Committee Act, I believe this information should already have been made public...but since that hasn't materialised...I figured FOIA is the way to go.
