Disclosure Diaries Update #26

A summary of notable Disclosure updates from Feb 5-11, 2024.

Disclosure Diaries Update #26

This past week in Disclosure:

Feb 5th – the UAP topic is brought to the European Commission's docket by Francisco Guerreiro, Member of the European Parliament

During a plenary session on the 5th of February, that covered various topics around space, MEP Francisco Guerreiro referenced ongoing UAP-related activities in the US, saying:

"it is fundamental that the EU Commission includes, in the European Space Law, a program to collect data on UAPs as well as the scientific body to analyze these events in a transparent and public way

Feb 6th – Politico publishes an article calling some of Dr. Kirkpatrick's recent statements into question – "Former UFO boss: Pentagon needs to be less secretive"

In an article published by Politico, Dr. Kirkpatrick provided the following statement:

There was a very strong concern to engage in the public discourse as often as I thought we needed to. The fact that they [Pentagon leadership] can’t figure out how to get at that message without concern for spillage into other areas has always been a frustrating point.

Meanwhile, a Pentagon spokesperson refuted this claim:

Standard procedure within the department is to have public engagements cleared by higher officials. To our knowledge, any media engagement Dr. Kirkpatrick recommended or requested was approved.

Feb 7th – Rep. Jim Himes denies involvement in the gutting of the Schumer/Rounds UAP Disclosure Act

In an interview with Askapol, Rep. Himes – the top Dem on the House Intel Committee – downplayed his role in gutting key provisions from the original UAPDA in the final NDAA bill:

Askapol: “I was curious, with the NDAA [National Defense Authorization Act], how did Schumer’s UAP amendment get stripped? Was that you all [on Intel]? Was that [Intel Chair Mike] Turner?”

Himes: “You know, I know this is sort of a cause célèbre online. I don’t think it was us all. You should ask [Intel Chair Mike] Turner about it.

Feb 8th – Sen. Marco Rubio expresses some frustration at the lack of attention to whistleblower claims from AARO

Speaking with Askapol, Sen. Rubio had the following to say:

Rubio: “These are people that have clearances — high clearances — in the United States government, and it's not one. It's Navy pilots. It’s other people who have come forward. I don't know if they're telling the truth or not. I'm not going to call them a liar. I'm just saying, if people that have that level of clearance and responsibility are coming forward with stuff, we should at least sort of — it's not one person; it's multiple people.”

AskaPol“Are we gonna hear from those people within the Senate?”

Rubio: “There's a whistleblower complaint filed by one of them, and, ultimately, I mean, we haven't spent a tremendous amount of time on it lately but I was hoping that’s what AARO would do!”

Feb 8th – a source alleges the UFO shot down over Alaska on Feb 10th was truly anomalous

According to a source that spoke confidentially to Ross Coulthart, the UAP shot down over Alaska on the 10th of February was highly anomalous, and certainly not a conventional balloon/drone configuration.

"[The Pentagon identified it as a] silver cylindrical UAP. Biden ordered the shootdown. Multiple assets were involved with recovery".

Feb 11th – Australian Defense officials change their tune and confirm their attendance at a Five-Eyes UAP briefing in 2023

Despite previous denials, the Australian Department of Defense admitted they had indeed attended a Five-Eyes briefing on UAP hosted in Washington in May of 2023.

"Yes [Australia was invited to the UAP briefing]. A Defence representative at the Australian Embassy in Washington attended," the department stated.

Feb 11th – Super Bowl LVIII advertisements reference the UAP topic in multiple instances

While by no means a concrete indication of 'soft disclosure' – as some may suggest – it is at the very least an indication of a shifting zeitgeist. The UAP topic has seemingly garnered the attention of Advertising Executives...if not the public at large (...yet).

Things to look out for in the near future:

February

  • In a podcast appearance with Jimmy Church, Danny Sheehan claims the Senate is working behind the scenes to put eminent domain (amongst other provisions) back on the table. He suggested we'll likely know quite a bit more about these efforts by the 9th of February. As of February 12th, no update has been provided.
  • According to Senator Gillibrand – a public hearing in line with AARO's latest report can be expected soon, saying –"I'll probably have another hearing aligned with that public report.”
  • Dr. Kirkpatrick had claimed Volume One of AARO's historical review would be published by the end of the year...so keep your eyes peeled for that. There has been no update on why it has been delayed, or when specifically we can expect to see it published.

Beyond / unknown

  • Following the UAP hearing on the 26th of July, Members of Congress have called for a select committee with subpoena authority, to “go about the task of collecting information from the Pentagon and elsewhere” on unidentified flying objects. There have been conflicting messages from various Members of Congress on whether this is likely to happen anytime soon.
  • Reps. Moskowitz, Luna, and Burchett have repeatedly stated their intent to hold field hearings to overcome stonewalling from the Pentagon and military establishment

"I think we [Congress] should try to get into one of these places [housing UAP evidence]...and if they won't let us in I think we should have a field hearing right outside the building...and the military will have to explain why that is." – Rep. Moskowitz (D)

It is currently unknown when exactly we might expect that to occur, however as of Jan 12 – Rep. Luna confirmed: "I feel confident that we have enough evidence to move forward with our first field hearing. @mattgaetz @JaredEMoskowitz @timburchett . We will be announcing details soon."
  • Several journalists have indicated that first-hand witnesses of the alleged UAP legacy programs are in the process of providing testimony/evidence to the relevant authorities (e.g. the IC IG) and/or are on the verge of making public statements in the near future (Example 1, example 2, example 3, example 4)
  • David Grusch has received additional clearances through DOPSR to discuss some of his (alleged) first-hand knowledge of Legacy programs. He has mentioned he may be covering more of this information in an upcoming Op-Ed
  • Some commentators have speculated that the architects of the UAPDA (e.g. Sens. Schumer/Rounds et al) are working diligently behind the scenes to continue furthering serious legislative UAP transparency efforts
